The President of the Myanmar Red Cross Society, Prof. Dr. Myo Nyunt, participated in the Asia Pacific Youth Forum and the 11th Asia Pacific Regional Conference in Hanoi, Vietnam, held from November 20th to November 23rd, 2023.

Accompanying the President of the MRCS were U Myint Tun Han, the Director of the Management Department, and U Zaw Zaw Myint, a Youth representative. During the Asia Pacific Youth Forum, they had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the activities of the Asia Pacific Youth Network and provided suggestions for the Youth Engagement Strategy 2.0, representing the Myanmar Red Cross Society.

In the “Becoming Trusted Organization Breakout Session” of the 11th Asia Pacific Regional Conference, Prof. Dr. Myo Nyunt, the President of the Myanmar Red Cross Society, served as the chairman. He actively participated in issuing a resolution endorsing the Hanoi Call for Action and engaged in discussions leading to its approval.

U Zaw Zaw Myint, the Youth representative, chaired the Movement Coordination Breakout Session, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the ICRC, IFRC, and national societies in executing the activities of the movement.

Leaders of the Red Cross and Red Crescent in the Asia Pacific Region collectively endorsed the implementation of eight commitments at the 11th Asia Pacific Regional Conference.
