Professor Dr. Myo Nyunt, the President of the Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS), engaged in discussions regarding the humanitarian activities of the Red Cross in Kachin during a meeting held at the office of the Kachin Red Cross Supervisory Committee (RCSC). The meeting included the participation of chairmen, committee members, and Red Cross volunteers from the RCSC of Myitkyina Township, District, and Kachin State.
Chairman U Brandi of the Kachin Red Cross Supervisory Committee presented an overview of the Red Cross activities during the meeting. Subsequently, Professor Dr. Tin Maung Hlaing, a full-time executive committee member, and Dr. Nyo Nyo Wint, the Deputy Secretary-General, provided feedback on the requirements for these activities.
The meeting was attended by the President, full-time executive committee member, deputy secretary-general, chairmen, vice-chairmen, committee members, and Red Cross volunteers, along with individuals representing Kachin State, Myitkyina, and Mohnyin District. The towns of Mohnyin, Mokaung, Hpakan, and Chipwe were also represented.
In addition to the discussions, a handover ceremony for an ambulance took place, during which the Chairman of RCSC of Kachin handed over the ambulance to the chairman and Red Cross officer of Myitkyina Township.
