On January 13, 2024, a ceremony was held in Taungggyi township to commemorate the delivery of supporting items to the Red Cross Supervisory Committee (RCSC) of Southern Shan State by the Myanmar Red Cross Society. Professor Dr. Myo Nyunt, the president of the Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS), attended the ceremony.

During the event, the president of the MRCS delivered the opening speech. Subsequently, the chairman of the Red Cross Supervisory Committee of Southern Shan State discussed and presented the Red Cross activities. Following that, the president of MRCS provided feedback on the requirements for these activities.

The president of the MRCS and Dr. Tin Tin Lay, the vice president of the MRCS, distributed Ambulance Stretcher Trolleys to the Red Cross branches of Lawksawk, Hse Hseng, Nansang, Laihka, and Aungban townships. Additionally, they distributed Emergency Suits to the RCSC of Southern Shan State and the towns of Taunggyi, Lawksawk, Hopong, Laihka. Furthermore, a donation certificate was dedicated to U Sai Seng Lin Main, who donated a farm (160fts x 60fts) to the Red Cross branch of Mong Hsu Township. Following this, U Myint Thein, the vice chairman of RCSC of Southern Shan State, expressed gratitude in his remarks.

The president of the MRCS also met and encouraged the Red Cross Volunteers in Konlong township. The president, along with the vice president, Professor Dr. Mar Lar Win, part-time executive committee members, respective individuals, and committee members from the RCSC of Southern Shan State, the chairman from the RCSC of Taunggyi District, the township Red Cross Officer, and Red Cross Volunteers from Taunggyi, Lawksawk, Hopong, Nansang, Laihka, Maingshu, and Aungban townships, as well as the donors, attended the ceremony.
