On January 16, 2024, Prof. Dr. Myo Nyunt, the President of the Myanmar Red Cross Society, attended the opening ceremony of communication training for Red Cross Volunteers from the Ayeyarwaddy Region in Yangon. The training, a collaboration between the Myanmar Red Cross Society and The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Society, aimed to enhance the communication skills and capacity of Red Cross Volunteers, promoting positive impact for humanitarian activities nationwide. Prof. Dr. Myo Nyunt delivered the opening speech, while Ms. Nadia Khoury, Head of delegation from The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Society, provided a welcome remark. The event was attended by executive committee members, including Prof. Dr. Daw Mya Thu and Prof. Dr. Daw Yi Yi Tin, as well as other officials from MRCS, Partner National Societies, and participants from Ayeyarwaddy Region. The training, held from January 16 to January 18, 2024, aimed to foster effective communication, positively portray the Myanmar Red Cross Society, and attract donors and members to contribute to humanitarian activities. Similar communication trainings are planned for Red Cross Volunteers in various states and regions across the country.
