“I joined it (Red Cross) hoping I would help the community in some way.”

     I am U Myint Thein Tun. I am a Red Cross volunteer at the District Red Cross Supervisory Committee. When our School Red Cross team was formed in 1981, “I joined it hoping I would help the community in some way.”

     With that mindset and commitment, I achieved the 30th Year Anniversary Award and I am very proud of it. I have been committing myself in the Red Cross works for 41 years.

     I have been helping in Dengue Fever and Elephantiasis disease prevention works, community health and sanitation, and emergency response for natural disasters such as flood, fire, storms and earthquakes, and also prevention of COVID-19.

     Every time the community appreciate our help, I am incredibly happy. I would like to urge the community to contact the Red Cross for any help.
