The Thai Business Association of Myanmar (TBAM) donated 300 oxygen cylinders (47 liter) to the Myanmar Red Cross Society to be used in COVID-19 medical services in Myanmar on September 27, 2021 at a donation ceremony held by a video conference system.
The opening remarks were given by Royal Thai Embassy, Thailand Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Suphatra Sirmaitreephithak, TBAM President Mr. Sorasak Keeratichokechaikul and Thai Red Cross Society Secretary General H.E. Mr. Tej Bunnag. After that, Prof. Dr. Htin Zaw Soe, Secretary General of Myanmar Red Cross Society spoke words of thank for donation.
The ceremony was attended by the Thai Ambassador to Myanmar, President of TBAM, Secretary General of Thai Red Cross Society and MRCS Secretary General and responsible officials.
The TBAM distributed (270) oxygen cylinders to the Red Cross Supervisory Committee from four districts of Yangon Region, (20) cylinders to Hlaing Thar Yar People’s Hospital and (10) cylinders to the MRCS (Yangon Branch) on (7) and (18) September. TBAM will also provide an oxygen refilling mechanism free of charges for 60 cylinders per day for 5 months.
